Losing weight is not only about being on a diet or even exercising as demonstrated by the high number of unsuccessful diets and exercise programs. To begin with, you have to discover the many M.E.S.S. blocks (Emotional, Mental, Subconscious, and Spiritual cubes ) which prevent you from losing weight and then let them go. These M.E.S.S. blocks are distorted beliefs, ideas, or fears that prevent your weight reduction. If you don’t eradicate those M.E.S.S. blocks, you will keep having a very hard time losing weight and, even if you succeed, you will always regain the weight.

If you have been physically abused, you will likely be fearful of being mistreated, and you will look for a way to shield yourself. Fat decreases the sexual interest that you receive from others because fat makes you less attractive. Slim Couture becomes a form of security.

A woman I met in a seminar told me about her overweight teenager daughter who had been allowing herself go by not taking care of herself and her entire body. Confronted by her mother, the adolescent confessed that the only way she knew how to take care of the unwanted sexual attention from boys in school was supposed to look bad and be overweight.

During a Oprah Winfrey show, Lisa Nichols, a teacher of The Secret admitted she gained 100 pounds to shield herself from unwanted sexual attention from guys.

If you are fat and not as attractive, you will feel more protected from physical abuse. Many women create this belief when they’ve been traumatized by physical abuse. If this has happened to you, you will need to give up this belief. If you have been beaten on a particular area of the human body, you will create a layer of fat to protect yourself in the physical pain of the beating. You typically store the psychological pain within the exact same area too. Thus, this layer of fat will be full of the memories and emotions linked to the bodily abuse.

One of my customers was beaten on her legs by her mother. All her life, she had enormous legs and she had difficulty losing weight.

To make certain you feel safe losing weight, you have to let go of the following M.E.S.S. cubes to weight loss:“fat is really a protection from abuse”,“fat protects me”;“being fat makes me feel protected”;“I feel insecure and unsafe if I’m lean”;“I feel protected from abuse if I am fat”. You won’t be able to achieve permanent weight loss till you forego those twisted beliefs.
